1.5 lbs Cod Fillets, cut into strips (On Sale: $9.99)
3 Avocados (On Sale: $0.99)
8 Chi Chi's Soft Taco Tortillas (On Sale: $2.00)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup beer
1/4 cup sour cream
Shredded cabbage
Lime wedges
Vegetable oil for frying
Salt and pepper to taste
Step 1: For avocado crema: mash 2 avocados with sour cream, lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
Step 2: In a bowl, whisk together flour, beer, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Step 3: Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet to 375°F.
Step 4: Dip cod strips in batter and carefully place in hot oil. Fry 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy.
Step 5: Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
Step 6: Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
Step 7: Dice remaining avocado for topping.
Step 8: Assemble tacos with cod, shredded cabbage, diced avocado, and avocado crema.
Step 9: Serve with lime wedges.
