Weeknight Beef Taco Skillet

A fast, budget-friendly beef taco skillet using this week's ground beef sale — ready in 20 minutes and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1.25 lb Ground Beef (from 5 lb pack) (On Sale: $19.99)

  • 1 packet Old El Paso Taco Seasoning (On Sale: 99¢)

  • 1 cup Ortega Salsa (On Sale: 2/$5)

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 8 corn tortillas

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

Directions

Step 1: Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat; drain excess fat.

Step 2: Stir in taco seasoning and water; simmer 3-4 minutes until thickened.

Step 3: Stir in salsa and heat through.

Step 4: Warm tortillas; fill with beef mixture, cheese and lettuce.

Step 5: Serve immediately with extra salsa on the side.
