Toasted bread topped with garlicky mushrooms and thin slices of seared ribeye. A small bite that eats like a full steak dinner.
12 oz Sliced Ribeye Steak
10 oz Baby Bella Mushrooms, sliced
1 loaf Italian Bread, sliced
3 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Minced Garlic
1/3 cup grated Parmesan
Salt, pepper and olive oil
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Brush the bread slices with olive oil and toast on a sheet pan for 8 to 10 minutes until crisp.
Step 3: Melt the butter in a skillet and cook the mushrooms 7 to 8 minutes until browned, then stir in the garlic and season.
Step 4: Sear the ribeye slices in a very hot pan for about 1 minute per side.
Step 5: Spoon the mushrooms onto the toasts and lay the steak over the top.
Step 6: Finish with Parmesan and cracked pepper and serve warm.
Chef's Tip: Slice the steak as thinly as you can manage and lay it over the mushrooms while still warm.
Save by using a small package of sliced ribeye tops two dozen crostini and Serve with a sharp mustard or horseradish cream.
