Avocado Bread Caprese Melts

Celebrate National Avocado Day (July 31) with toasted avocado bread topped with fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and a balsamic drizzle.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Avocado Bread (On Sale: $5.49)

  • 10 oz NatureSweet Tomatoes (On Sale: $3.49)

  • 12-16 oz Galbani Mozzarella Cheese (On Sale: $3.99)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1: Slice avocado bread and brush with olive oil.

Step 2: Toast slices lightly under the broiler, about 2 minutes.

Step 3: Top each slice with sliced mozzarella and halved tomatoes.

Step 4: Broil 2-3 minutes more until cheese melts.

Step 5: Drizzle with balsamic glaze and top with fresh basil, salt, and pepper.

Chef's Tip: Broil just until the cheese melts and starts to bubble for the best texture.
