Caprese Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Elevated grilled cheese with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. A gourmet twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Galbani Mozzarella Cheese (On Sale: $3.99)

  • 8 slices Wonder Italian Bread (On Sale: 2/$5)

  • 4 tbsp Crystal Farms Butter (On Sale: $3.99)

  • 1 large tomato, sliced

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Directions

Step 1: Butter one side of each bread slice.

Step 2: Layer mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil on unbuttered side of 4 bread slices.

Step 3: Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side out.

Step 4: Cook in skillet over medium-low heat 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts.

Step 5: Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired and serve immediately.

Chef's Tip: Use low heat and butter both sides of bread for perfectly crispy, golden sandwiches.

Save by using Make multiple sandwiches at once and keep warm in low oven. and Serve with Tomato soup or side salad.
