Spiced Yam Dessert Bars with Honey Drizzle

A warm, fall-spiced dessert bar made from mashed yams and a boxed cake mix shortcut, finished with a honey drizzle — perfect for an autumn gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb Yams, cooked and mashed (On Sale: 10 lbs/$10)

  • 1 box Betty Crocker Cake Mix (On Sale: 2/$4)

  • 2 tbsp Golden Blossom Honey (On Sale: $5.99)

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x9 baking dish.

Step 2: Mix mashed yams, cake mix, eggs, melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.

Step 3: Pour batter into the dish, top with chopped pecans, and bake 30-35 minutes until set.

Step 4: Cool slightly, drizzle with honey, cut into bars, and serve.

Chef's Tip: Mash the yams while warm for the smoothest batter texture.
