Caramel Apple Harvest Snack Cake

A cozy, cinnamon-spiced apple snack cake topped with vanilla frosting and a caramel drizzle — a festive fall dessert for the Halloween season.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples from Bowl & Basket Bagged Apples, peeled and diced (On Sale: $3.99)

  • 1 box Pillsbury Cake Mix (On Sale: 3/$5)

  • 1 tub Betty Crocker Frosting (On Sale: 2/$4)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • caramel sauce for drizzle

  • 3 eggs, 1/3 cup oil, 1 cup water (per cake mix instructions)

Directions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking pan. Prepare the cake mix according to package directions.

Step 2: Fold the diced apples and cinnamon into the batter.

Step 3: Pour into the pan and bake 28-32 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 4: Let cool slightly, then spread with vanilla frosting and drizzle with caramel sauce.

Step 5: Slice into squares and serve.

Chef's Tip: Warm the frosting slightly in the microwave for an easy pourable glaze instead of spreading it.
