Easy Italian Sausage and Pepper Pasta

A simple, satisfying weeknight dinner that brings together sale pasta, sausage, and colorful peppers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ronzoni Pasta (On Sale: $0.99)

  • 1 jar Prego Pasta Sauce (On Sale: 2/$5)

  • 1 pkg Mixed Peppers (On Sale: $6.99)

  • 1 lb Italian sausage

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Grated Parmesan for serving

Directions

Step 1: Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.

Step 2: Slice peppers into strips. Remove sausage from casings.

Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Cook sausage, breaking into crumbles, until browned.

Step 4: Add garlic and peppers. Cook 5 minutes until peppers soften.

Step 5: Add pasta sauce and simmer 5 minutes. Toss with cooked pasta, adding pasta water to reach desired consistency.

Step 6: Serve topped with Parmesan cheese.

Chef's Tip: Use sweet or hot Italian sausage based on your family's preference. The starch from the pasta water helps create a silky sauce.
