Sizzling Summer Bratwurst & Peppers

Fire up the grill for this July favorite featuring peppers and onions. A festive meal perfect for warm summer evenings and outdoor gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Old Tyme Game Day Hot Dog Rolls (On Sale: $2.49)

  • 1 pkg Mixed Peppers (On Sale: $6.99)

  • 1 Sweet Onion, sliced (On Sale: $1.49 lb)

  • 8 bratwurst sausages

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • Mustard for serving

Directions

Step 1: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Slice peppers and onions into strips.

Step 2: Grill bratwurst 15-18 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.

Step 3: Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet. Sauté peppers and onions until softened and caramelized, about 12 minutes.

Step 4: Toast hot dog rolls on the grill for 1 minute.

Step 5: Place brats in rolls and top with peppers and onions. Serve with mustard.

Chef's Tip: Simmer brats in beer before grilling for extra flavor and juiciness.
