Summer Firecracker Shrimp Tacos

Celebrate the post-July 4th season with spicy grilled shrimp tucked into soft tortillas with fresh slaw. A festive and flavorful way to keep the summer party going.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Bowl & Basket Raw EZ Peel Shrimp (On Sale: $14.99)

  • 1 pkg Old El Paso Soft Taco Kit (On Sale: $4.49)

  • 1 bag Bagged Carrots, shredded (On Sale: $0.99)

  • 2 tbsp lime juice

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Directions

Step 1: Peel and devein shrimp. Toss with olive oil, chili powder, and lime juice.

Step 2: Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Cook shrimp 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.

Step 3: Shred carrots finely for slaw. Mix with a dollop of sour cream and lime juice.

Step 4: Warm taco shells according to kit directions.

Step 5: Fill each taco with shrimp and top with carrot slaw. Drizzle with taco sauce from kit.

Chef's Tip: For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños. Let shrimp marinate for 30 minutes if you have time.
