Stars and Stripes Ice Cream Sandwiches

Fun and festive ice cream sandwiches made with fresh-baked cookies and creamy Friendly's ice cream. A patriotic dessert for July celebrations!

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Pillsbury Ready to Bake Cookies (On Sale: 2/$7)

  • 48 oz Friendly's Ice Cream (vanilla or chocolate) (On Sale: 2/$7)

  • Red and blue sprinkles

Directions

Step 1: Bake cookies according to package directions. Let cool completely.

Step 2: Remove ice cream from freezer and let soften for 5 minutes.

Step 3: Place a generous scoop of ice cream on the flat side of one cookie.

Step 4: Top with another cookie and press gently to spread ice cream to edges.

Step 5: Roll edges in sprinkles if desired.

Step 6: Wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and freeze for at least 2 hours.

Step 7: Serve frozen. Store up to 1 week in freezer.

Chef's Tip: Let the ice cream soften slightly for easier spreading. Work quickly and return to freezer immediately. Add sprinkles to the edges for extra festivity!
