Labor Day BBQ Shredded Chicken Sliders

Quick shredded chicken tossed in a homemade ketchup-based barbecue sauce and piled onto soft slider rolls—an easy festive picnic favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Perdue Short Cuts Precooked Chicken (On Sale: $2.99)

  • 1 pkg Pepperidge Farm Slider Rolls - 12 ct (On Sale: 2/$7)

  • 1/2 cup Heinz Ketchup (On Sale: $4.99)

  • 1/4 Vidalia Onion, diced (On Sale: $2.99)

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1: In a skillet, combine ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar; simmer 2 minutes to make a quick barbecue sauce.

Step 2: Shred the precooked chicken and add to the sauce, stirring to coat.

Step 3: Simmer 5-7 minutes until warmed through and slightly thickened.

Step 4: Pile chicken onto slider rolls and top with diced onion.

Chef's Tip: Simmer the shredded chicken in the sauce for a few minutes so it soaks up all the flavor.
