Boston Cream Donut Ice Cream Sandwiches

A fun summer dessert mash-up that turns bakery donuts and ice cream into an Instagram-worthy treat kids will love.

Ingredients

  • 4 Boston Cream Cakes (1/4 size) (On Sale: $2.00)

  • 1 container Friendly's Ice Cream (On Sale: 2/$7)

  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup

  • Sprinkles or toppings (optional)

Directions

Step 1: Carefully slice each Boston Cream Cake in half horizontally to create two rounds.

Step 2: Let ice cream soften at room temperature for 5-10 minutes.

Step 3: Place a generous scoop of ice cream on the bottom half of each donut.

Step 4: Drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired.

Step 5: Top with the other donut half and press gently to spread ice cream to edges.

Step 6: Optionally roll edges in sprinkles or other toppings.

Step 7: Serve immediately or wrap individually in plastic wrap and freeze until ready to serve.

Step 8: If frozen, let sit 2-3 minutes before eating.

Chef's Tip: Let ice cream soften slightly for easier scooping. Roll edges in sprinkles, crushed cookies, or mini chocolate chips for extra fun.
