Weekly Healthy Tip

Vitamin D is naturally present in some foods, available as a dietary supplement, and best achieved through 10-15 minutes of direct sunlight per day. It is a fat-soluble vitamin produced naturally when the sun's ultraviolet rays hit the skin and trigger vitamin D synthesis. Vitamin D is essential for normal formation of bone and protects against osteoporosis and muscle weakness in adults and rickets in children.
