2008 Red Shirt Service Extraordinary Act of the year AWARD WINNER Congratulations to Tonya Kovach - A front end teammate in our Frackville store - Tonya has won a trip to Riu Palace Aruba as our 2008 Red Shirt Service Teammate of the Year!

Here is the extraordinary act of service that has allowed Tonya to be our Red Shirt Service Teammate of the YEAR!!!

One day Tonya noticed a regular customer seemed very confused. She bought a cartload of groceries that she never buys and tried to pay for them a second time after leaving the store. Tonya offered to give her a ride home. She took her home and put her things away for her but was concerned for her well being because she kept trying to leave the house to go shopping again. Tonya called the store and said she would be back as soon as a family member got to Louise’s house. Tonya was able to contact Louise’s husband, who came home immediately. She helped get the customers to the hospital where it was found that the customer had suffered a stroke. Tonya's act of service obviously has positively affected these customers lives. The staff and management of Boyer's would like to thank Tonya for her tremendous efforts to make a difference with our customers. It is teammates like Tonya, that make Boyer's a very special place, and the home of Red Shirt Service.
